1 His real name is Willie Maxwell.
2 He was born with glaucoma in both eyes and later revealed in an interview that doctors were unable to save his left eye, fitting him with an ocular prosthesis.
3 The name Fetty Wap comes from ‘Fetty’, which is slang for money, and Wap, a tribute to Gucci Mane’s alias, GuWop.
4 His debut track, Trap Queen went platinum.
5 His third single, My Way, was remixed by Drake and that became the version played on radio.
6 In 2015 he became the first male rapper with three songs in the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100 since Eminem in 2013.
7 His debut studio album, the eponymously titled Fetty Wap debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 in 2015.
8 The video for his 2016 release, Wake Up, was filmed at his old school, Eastside High School.
9 He counts ‘runway model’ among his many talents, walking in Philipp Plein’s show at 2017 New York Fashion Week.
10 At just 27, he is the father of seven children, Aydin Zoovier, Eliza Zaviera, Khari Barbie, Amani, Lauren, Alaiya and a baby boy born last year whose name has not so far been released.
